WCCS 2018 - The Show In Full

This year’s Woodsmoor Classic Car Show was a resounding success. Even the rain couldn't stop us raising £7838, beating last year’s £7100!

Thank you to all our supporters;

Volunteers, who turned up on time for the boring briefing, worked flippin' hard and made the day work wonderfully. You are stars, one and all.

Classic Car Exhibitors, who turned out despite the inclement weather and then set about re-polishing their classics in time for the judging.

Stallholders, who were resolute in the face of the dismal wind and rain at the start of the day, holding on to their gazebos. Everyone donated and many gave us some more.

Visitors, who braved the elements, donned their glad rags and just kept arriving and donating.

Our Judges and the Deputy Mayor, who engaged with exhibitors, assessed the classic cars and made their awards (details of winners below).

Car Clubs, the array of classic cars on show and efforts the clubs go to is legendary. They rallied their troops, booked them in, organised donations and even collected from those who couldn't attend.

2CV GB Manchester Ducks who set up our Deux Chevaux display and made and sold homemade cute 2CV shaped biscuits to add to our proceeds.

Friends and Neighbours, who leafleted the local area in the run up to the show, organised prizes for the raffle, ran the Tombola, or donated their stalls entire proceeds to the WCCS fund.

Our Sponsors, who contributed to the essential items, as well as gifts and trophies for the exhibitors

GM Fire Service, who paid a (planned) visit where kids big and small were able to clamber over the fire unit!

The Home Bakers who baked and donated! They all sold like hot cakes!

Amazing , so thank you, thank you, thank you, one and all.
